In February I was pleased to see confidence again in my clients, everyone seems to be more up beat and positive about opportunities in 2010 and many designers are re-thinking their marketing strategies. As a result I have taken some great photographs of new work and helped to unite collections with fresh photography of old pieces. Below is a taster from some of the shoots.

It was only a matter of time until I talked myself into doing another photography seminar. This time it was all organised by Sarah and Hazel at Craft Central and took place in the impressive gallery on the ground floor. The snaps below are as I was setting up. 10 designers came to the 2 hour session and I gave them advice and demonstrations on how to photograph and style their own products. Thanks to all who came it was great to see your products and find out about your businesses.

Faith Tavender has been busy designing a new range to be launched on Not on The High Street. I think it will be a hit!

I had the wonderful opportunity of photographing two completely different art collections recently. It is an immensely difficult task accurately photographing works of art in situ as there are often chandeliers, tables etc in the way of the perfect shot. These were close up details of my favorites.

It is always great when designers know what they want to achieve at a shoot, and Rachel had a clear idea of the look she wanted  using a textured background to show off her jewellery to best effect.

Guen Palmers jewellery is timeless, classic and perfectly manaufactured. The brief for the shoot was to show the form and detail in the manufacturing whilst showing off the precious gems. The images were needed for differerent promotions and to fit alongside images from her other collections.

Founded by established fabric designers, ao textiles’  latest collection is inspired by marbling and made in England using traditional techniques. The combination of recyled and naturally died yarns gives the fabric vibrant colours and lovely texture. For more information on their latest projects go to ao textiles.

Momoko approached me after a recommendation from a fellow jeweller. I was already aware of her work as she had exhibited at Goldsmiths Fair. Handling her jewellery I was amazed at how intricate and carefully made each item of jewellery was.
